Founders, managers and teams are great at taking care of their companies... not always at taking care of themselves. This Thursday Gathering looks at the hidden costs of mental health at work.
Doctors, psychologists and coaches will cover: founder insomnia and sleep hygiene, ADHD and anxiety in entrepreneurs, the "discipline trap" of constant self-optimization, fawning, or why a "yes" that really means "no" can be the most expensive word in a startup. And if you prefer getting active over sitting and listening, join our laughter yoga session.
That day we will also be joined by the UNDP BOOST: Innovation Ecosystem Accelerator and business support organizations from Ukraine and Moldova. It's a great chance to connect with the regional innovation ecosystem beyond Poland.
Great insights, awesome people, and plenty of networking.
See you there!
Lek. Katarzyna Woźniak i lek.
I show how to unleash laughter when tension takes over. It involves movement, breathwork, shared fun, and practical exercises you can easily revisit after the workshop.

The most expensive word in a startup isn’t “no”. It’s a “yes” that meant “no”.
“Sure, I’ll handle it.” “No problem.” “Friday works.” It sounds like commitment. Sometimes it is. And sometimes it’s a nervous system quietly choosing safety over truth.
Psychologists call it fawning: the fourth survival response, next to fight, flight and freeze. The one that gets praised as “a great team player”. It’s also where the overtime, the fake consensus, the bad news that never reaches the founder and the burnout that “came out of nowhere” begin.
In this talk Joanna Andryszczak shows how to spot fawning in yourself and your team, why startups are fertile ground for it, and what leaders can change so people don’t need it.

People in demanding roles often treat discipline as their greatest asset - until it starts working against them. In this talk, Natalia Kusyn explores how self-optimization can quietly turn into a loop of deficits: too little sleep, too little movement, irregular meals and constant pressure to perform. Drawing on clinical practice and fresh data from our study on the mental health of working professionals, she shows where healthy ambition ends and a health problem begins, and what can be done about it.
O czym pamiętać w dyskusji o wellbeingu dzieci i młodzieży? Czy szkoła odpowiada na te wyzwania? Jakie lekcje mają do wyciągnięcia rodzice?
